And they were philosophers…

In their time, they had a quest for wisdom. These people have questioned reality , finding all truth to back up their perception. They didn’t settle for what life called itself, or what it wanted them to be, because they knew deep within themselves that they had ideas and imaginations that needed to be explored.

Albert Einstein

albert einstein.jpgEinstein was born at Ulm in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879, into a non-observant Jewish family. At age five, his father showed him a pocket compass, and Einstein realized that something in “empty” space acted upon the needle; he would later describe the experience as one of the most revelatory of his life. He grew to appreciate philosophy through finding solutions to problem in his work in physics. Then, he died on April 18, 1955, in Princeton, New Jersey.

aaristotleAristotle was a Greek man, and he is one of the most important founding figures in Western philosophy. He stated that only one thing could justify monarchy, and that was if the virtue of the king, and his family were greater than the virtue of the rest of the citizens put together.

Alexander Bain

An inventor of Chemical Telegraph, Scottish educationalist and a philosopher. He was also known as one of the most innovative, and prominent minds in different fields. These fields include logic, education reform, psychology, linguistics and moral philosophy.  Bain held the Chair at Aberdeen for twenty years, but his main philosophical writings had already been published by the time he was appointed. His most notable philosophical achievement as Regius Professor was the establishment of Mind, a philosophy journal that went on to become one of the most prestigious in the world.
